Abstract

If the anniversary moment “Humor 2012” drew attention in the previous issue to the conservation of mural painting, in 2013 we placed greater emphasis on the conservation of wood and of the artistic components executed on this support.

Execution techniques, materials used, preliminary analysis or types of deterioration, issues raised by the conservation of paintings on wood, their cleaning or consolidation, the conservation or removal of overpainting, as well as aspects related to aesthetic presentation are among the topics addressed.
