Medieval Monuments of Bukovina

Abstract

The volume Medieval Monuments of Bukovina, authored by Tereza Sinigalia and Oliviu Boldura and published by ACS Publishing in 2015, is a reference work dedicated to one of the most valuable ensembles of medieval art in Eastern Europe. The book offers an extensive exploration of the monuments of Bukovina, renowned for their exterior mural paintings included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, bringing together scholarly research, restoration expertise, and a rich visual documentation.

Structured as a cultural and visual guide, the volume goes beyond a traditional monograph, providing readers with both a historical perspective on the region and its monuments and a direct insight into the world of medieval mural painting.
